Now more than ever, finding places to get services can be really hard.
Whether it’s medical care, homework help, dealing with police, or just
finding a place to chill, how can you know where to go? Here’s the
answer! The Guide is a resource guide for youth, by youth.
The Adolescent Initiative Project, under the guidance of our Youth Taking Charge Board, has produced the third edition of the well-read and well-known Guide. You’re holding a directory of resources that are approved and endorsed by other adolescents just like you. It’s been updated with the most current information available. We hope you find what you’re looking for. Remember, if there are any words you don’t know, be sure to check the glossary at the back. If you need help using The Guide or locating resources for you or someone you know, just call us! We want to talk to you. Peace, Dawn Dickerson (212)305-1189 Elizabeth Lee (212)342-0154 Special thanks to Laila Hochhausen, Iolani Grullon, and Sujeidy Marte for their help in compiling this edition of The Guide. Thanks also to the Offices of Assemblyman Keith L.T.Wright and Manhattan Borough President C.Virginia Fields for their contributions to previous editions of the Guide. |
